




VME, VME64 und VME64x
Allgemein
Der VMEbus, basierend auf der
Norm IEEE 1014 und IEC 821 hat
sich weltweit als Industriestandard
etabliert.
Der VME64 stellt eine Erweiterung
der VME Familie nach ANSI/VITA
1-1994 dar und erlaubt einen 64Bit-
Datenverkehr. Der VME64x erweitert
die VME Familie nach ANSI/VITA 1.1-
1997 und ist mit dem optionalem 95/133poligen 2 mm Steckverbinder J0
erhältlich. Beim VME64 und VME64x
werden 160polige Steckverbinder
eingesetzt. Nach wie vor ist dieses
System rückwärtskompatibel,
so
dass auch weiterhin Baugruppen mit
96poligen Steckverbindern nach DIN
41612 verwendet werden können.
Alle Hartmann VMEbus-Platinen sind
als HIGH-SPEED-DESIGN ausgelegt.
Geringe Reflektionen werden
durch einen gleichmäßigen
Wellenwiderstand
der Signalleitung
erreicht.
Die konsequente Schirmung jeder
Signalleitung garantiert minimale
Kopplung und gewährleistet somit
auch bei Erweiterung auf den
64Bit-Mode mit dem 2e-Protokoll
(160 MByte/s) einen störungsfreien
Betrieb.
Um Störungen auf Signalleitungen,
die durch Reflektionen am offenen
Leitungsende entstehen können,
müssen diese beim VMEbus
terminiert werden.
Die Termination kann entweder
ON-/IN-Board (auf dem Backplane)
oder OFF-Board (extern)
erfolgen. Bei der Terminationsart
unterscheidet man zwischen passiver
und aktiver Termination. Der Vorteil
der aktiven Terminierung liegt in der
geringeren Ruhestromaufnahme.
Die passive Termination zeichnet sich
durch einen besseren Frequenzgang
und größeren Temperaturbereich
aus.
Bei der Daisy-Chain-Beschaltung unterscheidet man zwischen manuellem Daisy-Chaining und Automatic Daisy-Chaining. Automatic Daisy-Chaining macht das Stecken von Jumpern überflüssig und dem Anwender bleibt das mühevolle Stecken bzw. Ziehen erspart.
Hinzu kommt, dass eventuelle Fehlsteckungen vermieden werden.
Das Automatic Daisy-Chaining kann auf zwei Arten realisiert werden.Im Montagebereich der Backplane
an den Baugruppenträger ist eine
durchgehende elektrisch leitende
Chassis-GND-Fläche angebracht.
Dies ermöglicht eine EMV-dichte
Montage der Busplatine
an den
Baugruppenträger.
Baugruppenträger und Systemmasse
sind beim VME64 und VME64x
HF-mäßig durch Kondensatoren
(10 nF, 200 V an jedem Steckplatz)
gekoppelt.
Statische Ladungen werden
über einen Widerstand (≥ 1 MΩ)
abgeleitet.
Zum Anschluss der Gehäusemasse
steht ein kombiniertes Anschluss-
element (Schraube M4 und
Faston 2,8 bzw. 6,3 x 0,8 mm) zur
Verfügung.
Die Zuführung der Hauptbetriebs-
spannungen
erfolgt beim VME64
und VME64x durch Stromschienen
mit M6 Schraubanschluss.
Beim VMEbus werden
sie über
Doppelfastons mit zusätzlichem
M4-Schraubgewinde
eingespeist.
Aufgrund der Anordnung
der
Einspeisemodule auf der Backplane
ist eine optimale Versorgung
der Tochterkarten und somit ein
störungsfreier Betrieb sichergestellt.
Die Sondersignale zum Netzgerät
und zu externen LED’s sind auf den
Backplanes auf einen separaten
Steckverbinder geführt.
Je nach Backplanetyp ist ein 7poliger,
ein 10poliger oder ein 14poliger
Steckverbinder im Rastermaß
2,54 mm vorgesehen.
